Meet our Educational Coordinator:
Jessica Rumberger has been with IAW for a little over two and a half years. Jessica graduated from Ohio University in 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science in Child and Family Studies. She has been working in the field of Early Childhood since she graduated HS, as a camp counselor. As she came home for the summers from college, she was promoted to Camp Director, and pursued that for nearly 3 years. After college graduation, Jessica started her first teaching job working with Pre-Kindergarten students.
In 2013, Jessica and her husband, Nick, moved to Waterford, Michigan for Nick to pursue his career as a Mechanical Engineer for Chrysler Automotive. Jessica found herself quickly back into the preschool setting, where she took a job as a Lead Infant Teacher, and then moved onto a Preschool Teaching postion for 3 years. Jessica, then decided it was time to move on to the more administrative side of the preschool and daycare atmosphere (like her mom), so she interviewed for an Assistant Director position for The Learning Care Group, a chain of corporate centers. She was hired on by Childtime and spent nearly 2 years there before she and her husband moved home to be closer to family, and establish roots for her 2 boys, Carter and Nathan.
Jessica joined IAW in January 2018. Along side her mom, JoAnne, Jessica helped IAW achieve their 5th star in October 2018. She has a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for not just staff, but the families and children whom walk through our doors each and everyday. She is excited to continue to grow the IAW family, and eager to see where the next year takes us!
